Bio

Elna Romberg is a Scandinavian Soul Pop singer and songwriter, with an empowering message and strong American Gospel vibes, spiced with a fresh touch of contemporary pop.

Elna’s warm and powerful voice is full of presence and dynamics, and has the ability to fill up the whole room, like a beam of light. Which is no wonder, as her early idols include pop royalty like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey.

Already as a small child, Elna loved to sing and perform, but the jump rope handle soon changed into a real microphone, when she made her first studio recording at the age of ten. Since then, she’s performed on various stages, including Finlandia Talo, Pori Jazz and The Voice Of Finland.

In 2017, she released her debut album Trouble that features Finnish and Swedish top musicians, such as Lenni-Kalle Taipale, Marzi Nyman and Samuel Ljungblahd. As a solo artist and as the leader of one of Finland’s most well-known gospel choirs, His Master’s Noise, Elna has performed in the USA, South Africa, Australia and Europe.

Elna’s career as a singer and vocal coach has led her to the sets of TV-shows like The Voice and several YLE productions, and as a background singer she’s worked with famous artists, like Kasmir and Katri Helena, and guest starts like Juha Tapio, Suvi Teräsniska and Tomas Ledin.

Her current project brings her back into the spotlight. Walls is the first in a series of new songs that Elna has been working on for a while. Refreshingly uplifting, soulful and groovy – this is Scandinavian Soul Pop at its best!
